Welcome to My Craigslist Cottage. What exactly is that? Well….everything I have in my home is from Craigslist or some of the other marketplace apps like 5miles, Offer-up, etc.
Recently, I went through quite a big lifestyle change. Suddenly, I found myself selling my home and getting rid of pretty much everything I owned. And what I still owned I didn’t necessarily want to look at as a painful reminder. What was I to do? Buying new furniture can be an incredible expense. There was no extra money for furniture but I had a new home that I needed to put my mark on, make my own. I really couldn’t just sit on the floor all the time. I had no idea the bargains that awaited me. My heart races just thinking about it. It excites me to transform outdated pieces into chic, fun and beautiful works of art.
I did go shopping in retail stores but I soon realized it would take me forever to furnish my home. I have always been very artistic and have a natural creative side, so up-cycling used furniture seemed to be the best and most fun option. Who knew it would lead to this shabby, quaint little blog and a multitude of new friends, new opportunities and a chance to do something I love.
A New Lease on Life
It has been a lifesaver since this brilliant quest to have a Craigslist Cottage arose. So sit back and enjoy this fun and artistic ride. I apologize if you happen to see me screeching to a halt and pulling over to pick up that soon to be perfect table or chair on the side of the road.
